City of Angola Permitting Process

General Permit Application:

This application serves as the main permit form for all minor projects within the City of Angola's jurisdiction that result in land disturbance of less than 1,501 square feet. Examples include, but are not limited to, sheds, decks, fences, remodeling work, small-scale demolition, and minor building additions.

Other Permits and Applications:
Effective July 1, 2018, applicants for structural permits are required to declare any "advanced structural components" used in the floor or roofing construction having less than one (1) hour of fire resistance when testing in accordance with the ASTM Standard E119.
 

Upon completion of forms, please return the form:
    1. In Person
    2. By Email - planning@angola.in.gov
    3. After Hours (4:30pm) - Use the drop box located outside the main entrance of City Hall

  • Class I Permit Packet Land Disturbance 1,501 to 5,000 square feet
  • Class II Permit Packet Land Disturbance 5,001 to 8,712 square feet
  • Class III Permit Packet NEW RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION under 43,560 square feet
  • Class IV Permit Packet Land Disturbance 8,713 to 43,559 square feet
  • Class V Permit Packet Land Disturbance Greater than One (1) Acre

Stormwater agreement for projects less than one acre MAY require a Stormwater Management BMPs Maintenance Agreement.
